Motorcycle Winter Tires

You never know what you have until you don't have it. I never really gave any thought to how much people use and rely on their vehicles, until now. I am in between trucks right now and it's a bit of a bummer not having my own transportation. I am basically trapped at home for the majority of my time off.

However, I am putting a bit of a positive spin on this. It is a very humbling experience having to get a ride or, if I'm lucky, borrow a vehicle from someone. It makes me appreciate what I have and to take care of what I have a little better, particularly my vehicles. It also gives me more time to keep up with my forms and reps during the holiday break.

Too bad this didn't happen in the summer when I could just ride my motorbike. Guess I need to get some winter tires for it and learn to ride in the ice and snow!

Where am I? What am I doing?

Lately I have been getting overwhelmed by my tasks at work. I keep forgetting to keep my mind focused on what I am doing presently, staying in the moment. I get into what seems like a perpetual motion machine of thought with no end in sight. My mind races and I continually make mistakes.

Every once in a while I stop myself and remember to remain calm and think things through as they come up through the day. Easier said than done when my foreman is putting me on the spot and asking about seven different things at once. Hehe...

Luckily the holidays are coming and I will get some time off to train, re-cooperate and concentrate on the up-coming year of the sheep. Then I can return to work in January with a fresh mind and a cool composure. Have a Merry Christmas everyone! See you in the new year!
